You’ve always been so proud of your ability to sleep and now you find yourself staring at the clock at 3am? First of all, you’re not alone. Research shows that almost a third of women suffer from insomnia especially once estrogen levels start to decline – about twice as many than men.
What should you do? First of all, stop looking at your phone or tablet for salvation. Screen time only disrupts your sleep. What then? Turn on the radio or put some music on: some monotony can help your body relax. And here’s another tip: instead of counting sheep, try going over your entire wardrobe by heart. Imagine every pair of pants and every blouse. By the time you get to your shoes, there’s a good chance you’ll fall asleep.
