The argument on whether coffee’s good for you never ends, and like anyone else – you too must have thought at one time or another, maybe your body can do better without it. We’re not here to tell you what to do, but we will tell you two things about coffee that you might want to watch out for after you start to see the changes in your hormone levels when you're in your 40's.

The first: coffee, eventually, makes you consume more sugar – because it helps you feel more awake and alert for a short while, and then you need another "fix" to get that feeling back. So, if you thought you saved yourself a meal with that coffee, think again.

The second thing: the female body doesn’t handle coffee and alcohol as well as its male counterpart. Why? Because our metabolism is slower (a woman’s body is meant to store more energy), and whatever flows right through a man’s urine, takes more time for us.
